Studying God’s Word gives us Understanding!

Studying something helps us to be prepared for what’s to come . A test perhaps, in a class you are taking , or studying to pass a training course for employment . Either way when it comes to things from a worldly perspective, we have no problem putting in countless of hours studying and preparing ourselves in hopes of passing the rest !

But what would happen if we put in just as much time on a daily basis to study God’s Word ? Would we be prepared spiritually for the tests and pop quizzes of the trials and tribulations that Jesus forewarned us would come ?

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

In John 16:33 , Jesus gives an important piece of instruction which is , “ In the world ye shall have tribulations but he is the overcomer of the world”.

So right away , we can take from this scripture that Jesus can provide peace even in the midst of our trials ! The Word teaches us through our life course but we have to be students who study God’s Word. Why ? Because , what happens when we fail to study law for a test ? We fail !And I don’t know about you but I’m

choosing to pass my life test on a daily basis by studying and applying God’s Word in my life !

After all, God gave us the upper hand , by making our life test an open book test !!

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

So it is indeed up to us how well we are prepared in our life’s journey! I choose to be prepared, how about you !
