Be Greedy for God’s Word

Have you ever had to pull your own coat tail about your own actions in life ? Or have you ever noticed at some point that your desires have been more locked in to worldly possessions rather than being content with what you have ? I will answer I have indeed been guilty of both things but the beauty of it all is when I read & study God ‘s Word it brings me to a state of repentance & renewal with God!

Colossians 3:5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

Many times we find ourselves trying to keep up with the Joneses and desiring more & more of earthly things which are temporary things but I dare you to focus on those things that are eternal and everlasting .... Beibg greedy for God’s Word will help you obtain so much more that is lasting and foundational in your life.. So let’s get greedy for God’s Word ! He wants us to feed on it at all times , it’s a buffet of knowledge and it’s all you can eat ! Digest God‘s Word Let it Work through your life and watch how day by day you start to desire those things such as joy, peace, contentment and a life that truly resembles the light of the world!
